Appointment of MMRDA as Special Planning Authority :

Through a notification dated April 30, 2016, the Government of Maharashtra reappointed the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) as the Special Planning Authority for the designated area approximately 1,089 hectares.

The villages of

Bhopar (Pt),

Sandap,

Usarghar (Pt),

Gharivali (Pt),

Mangaon (Pt),

Hedutane (Pt),

Kole,

Katai (Pt),

Nilaje (Pt),

and Ghesar (Pt)

have been included under Town Planning Scheme No. 1 (TPS 1), where the MMRDA is appointed as the Special Plannig Authority.

All the above mentioned location are within the Shilphata Belt or in close proximity to outskirts of Dombivli and Ambernath.
